Pastor Brown was born in Detroit Michigan to the parents of Cornelius and Louise Brown. He was born in East Detroit and later lived on the Westside of Detroit. He attended Cass Technical High School and served as the JROTC Corps Commander for the Detroit Public Schools 3,600 member JROTC program his senior year. He was the first African American from Cass Technical High School to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point where he graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree.
Pastor Brown served in the United States Army for 20 years. One of the highlights of his career was serving as a tank company Commander during Desert Shield Desert Storm. Currently, he still serves our country as the Director of Resource Management United States Army Reserve Command G1 responsible for over four billion dollars.
Additionally, Pastor Brown has a Master of Arts Degree in Community Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (Mental Health) for the state of North and South Carolina. He is a certified Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a Spiritual Counseling. Moreover, Pastor Brown is a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors and is a previous member of the Governor's Board for Consumer Advocacy for the State of North Carolina. The board ensures that consumers receive adequate and prompt Medical and Mental Health Services. To better the lives of others is his life’s work.
Pastor Brown has been serving the Lord since the age of 13. He is an ordained minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in biblical studies from the Sure Foundation Theological Institute for Biblical Studies. He has ministered the gospel for over 25 years to include a pastoral assignment in St Louis Missouri for 7 years. On 1 January 2024, Brother Brown became the Pastor of Agape Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church located at 4211 Black Bridge Road in Hope Mills North Carolina.
Additionally, Pastor Brown has been a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity since 1986. He received his initiation through the Iota Gamma Gamma Chapter, Fort Polk, Louisiana Omega’s 9th District. He has served as a KRS, Parliamentarian, Assistant DR, Chaplain, and was the Tau Gamma Gamma’s Basileus from 2018 to 2021.
He is married to his lovely wife Tara Rachelle, and together they have three children Jeanette, Katrina, and Jabari
